“In our industry, there are countless office cultures that regress into an internal competition as to who can work the most hours; working 60+ hours in a week has become a badge of honor whether productive or not. At Eclipse Engineering, we do not see it that way. Although employees may find short-term rewards by working overtime, and companies may find this a good model for financial short-term success, we believe there is a better way. Our model is to work hard while we’re at the office and then go play hard when it’s time to go home.”

Jamie Garcia, P.E.

Jamie Garcia began her engineering career with Eclipse as a college intern and was hired as a Project Engineer after obtaining her master’s degree from University of Colorado in 2011.  In 2018, Jamie accepted the invitation to become a partner and continues to amaze her clients with her dedication, charisma, and creativity.  When Jamie is not managing custom home designers/architects or solar manufacturers, she is kicking up her heels on the dance floor.  Her husband, Andres, owns a dance company and Jamie has joined his team as a choreographer and performer.  They travel to competitions and clinics to better improve their talent and instruction.

Rob Ortiz E.I.T.

I am your typical family man from deep south Texas.  When not working, you can find me at little league baseball games, basketball games, dance competitions, or various school events. These events keep us quite busy during the school year.  During summer time, we love to travel for vacation.  This gives the kids a chance to see various parts of the country. We also love the beach. We have spent many weekends at South Padre Island soaking in the rays. One of my favorite hobbies is astronomy. When nights are clear, which is rare in south Texas, you can find me under the stars with a Telescope. This is a passion I have had since childhood.
