M.S. Civil Engineering- Structures, Montana State University, December 2011

Prior to joining Eclipse Engineering, Mr. Roskos gained invaluable professional experience while attending college. His Master’s thesis work was funded by the National Science Foundation and focused on the development of an environmentally friendly concrete made using fly ash as the sole binder and recycled glass as the aggregate. Mr. Roskos designed and tested numerous structural elements using this “green” concrete and investigated the concrete’s engineering properties and durability performance. He has submitted his work to the Transportation Research Board (TRB), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Materials Journal, and the ASCE Structures Journal for publication. Also, Mr. Roskos presented his research at the NSF CMMI Research and Innovation Conference and the World of Coal Ash Conference. In addition to research, he also gained professional experience in the consulting, design, and construction realms of civil engineering during his three internships. At Eclipse Engineering, he has gained experience in residential design including log homes and in the design of fabric structures.
